Private Acatenango 4x4 Sunrise Tour from Antigua Guatemala
About this tour
A private 4×4 takes your group to the summit of Acatenango for sunrise, without camping. The driver picks you up at your hotel in the historic center of Antigua Guatemala at 1:00 AM (Monday to Thursday) and drives you up a private farm road; from the end of the road you walk to base camp for hot drinks.
At 4:00 AM you start the hike to the summit and watch the sunrise from the top at around 5:30 AM, with views of Fuego Volcano (eruptions when the volcano is active). After the descent you ride the 4×4 back down, have breakfast and are dropped off at your hotel at around 9:30 AM.
Price per group: US$1,200 covers 1 to 4 travelers. Traveling with 5 or 6 people? Add the 5th and 6th traveler at checkout as the Extra traveler add-on (US$300 each). Groups of 7 or more need a second vehicle; contact us on WhatsApp.
Payment: US$200 deposit to book, then two payments of US$500, charged 14 and 3 days before the tour.
The 4×4 vehicles and gear are run by local operators with authorized access to the farm. Everyone signs a liability waiver at the farm entrance.
