Frequently asked questions
- What should I bring for the tour?
- We recommend bringing light and comfortable clothing, sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, swimwear, insect repellent, and a reusable water bottle. Don’t forget your camera to capture the beauty of the Pacific!
- Do I need previous experience for sport fishing or water activities?
- No experience is required. Our captain and crew will guide you through every step — whether you’re a first-time fisher or an experienced adventurer, you’ll enjoy a safe and exciting experience.
- Are meals and drinks included during the trip?
- Yes. The tour includes lunch and dinner on the first day. The driver will make a breakfast stop in Escuintla on the way from Antigua so you can eat before arriving. On the second day, a refreshment is served on board during the boat tour. Lunch on that day is not included, but can be added for an extra $15.00 per person.
- Can I participate in the sea turtle rescue activity?
- Yes, you can! During the nesting season, guests can join our night beach walk to help collect turtle eggs and relocate them safely to our conservation hatchery. This activity is optional and guided by trained staff.
- What happens in case of bad weather or rough sea conditions?
- If weather conditions prevent us from going out to sea, guests will receive a 50% refund of the tour cost or may choose to reschedule for the next day or another available future date. Your safety and comfort are always our top priority.
- Is it 100% guaranteed to see whales during the tour?
- No, whale sightings cannot be guaranteed. During this season, whales migrate to the Guatemalan Pacific Coast seeking warmer waters and are often visible during our tours. However, the ocean is unpredictable and whales are wild marine animals, so while sightings are very common (around 80% probability), there is always a chance we may not encounter them.
- Can I extend my stay at the beach for an extra night?
- Yes, absolutely! You can arrange to stay additional nights at the hotel if you wish to enjoy more time by the ocean. The return transportation to Antigua will still be included and scheduled for the day of your final check-out.
